Biography

Licenses: Virginia and the District of Columbia

Daniel is an experienced family law attorney based out of  Virginia and Washington D.C.  Daniel’s success as an attorney comes from his ability to thoughtfully analyze a case and identify the key issues that will efficiently and cost-effectively achieve the best possible outcome for his clients. Daniel understands that communication with the client is the key to success in every case.  Daniel’s affable nature combined with his aggressive advocacy allows him to work closely with his clients to achieve favorable results.

Immigrating to the United States at a young age provided Daniel with a unique perspective on the importance of having a zealous advocate in one’s corner.  Daniel’s background enables him to guide clients through a legal process that is often overwhelming and unforgiving.

Originally from Venezuela, he earned his bachelor of science in Business from the University of Maryland Robert H. Smith School of Business. Following college, Daniel attended The George Washington University Law School in Washington, D.C.  While at law school, Daniel was instrumental in establishing a student-led organization that collaborated with local business leaders to explore novel business law issues.

Shortly after law school, Daniel worked at a law firm in downtown Washington, D.C. where he represented clients in family law, immigration and criminal and traffic matters. Prior to forming Bourdon &Tortolero, Daniel worked at a large, multinational family law firm where his practice focused almost exclusively on divorce and child custody issues.
