Katherine focuses her practice on family law matters. A dedicated attorney with a history of exemplary counsel, Katherine has long demonstrated her commitment to providing excellent representation and ensuring that her clients’ needs are met with skill, compassion, and professionalism.
Prior to joining Bourdon & Tortolero, PLLC, Katherine worked for a national law firm representing private and public sector clients in state and federal litigation and before federal regulatory bodies. Over the course of her distinguished career, Katherine has provided counsel to clients on issues of federal preemption; federal funding; state and federal environmental regulations; local jurisdictional structures; and procedural matters. She previously served as an Attorney Advisor and Congressional Liaison for a federal government agency, and as a Law Clerk for the Honorable Charles E. Erdmann of the United States Court of Appeals for the Armed Forces. Katherine was drawn to family law while serving as a pro bono attorney in Fairfax County. With an extensive breadth and depth of legal experience, Katherine has the unparalleled drafting, research, and analytical skills necessary for high-stakes litigation and negotiations.
Katherine holds a J.D. from Catholic University, Columbus School of Law and a Bachelor of Science in Business from Virginia Tech.
