Miles Derek Franklin works as of counsel at Bourdon & Tortolero, where he supports the firm’s work in family law and estate planning. Miles brings strong research, writing, and analytical skills, contributing to the development of legal strategies and the delivery of effective client service.

Miles earned his J.D. from the evening program for Washington College of Law of American University in 2021, working while working full time. Upon receiving his bar license in Fall 2021, he gained practical experience by opening a solo practice focused on family law and estate planning, which he continues to operate alongside his work with the firm. He also holds a B.A. in both political science and economics from Virginia Tech.

Known for his professionalism, attention to detail, and collaborative approach, Miles is dedicated to supporting clients and colleagues with diligence and integrity. He is admitted to practice in Virginia and is an active member of Fairfax County and Prince William County Bar Associations.
